Bradley freshman Sophia McDonnell placed fifth in the women's junior 6-kilometer race in 23:22.3 at the USATF Cross Country Championships at Mission Bay Park in San Diego. McDonnell qualified to compete Feb. 29 at the Pan American Cup in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.
