Jacques Sallberg, representing Cal Coast Track Club, took third in the Masters men's 8-kilometer race in 27:37 at the USATF Cross Country Championships, presented by Toyota, at Mission Bay Park in San Diego. Sallberg, 47, won the Masters titles in 2019 at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee, Fla., and again in 2020 at Mission Bay Park. He was the top competitor in the men's 45-49 division.
