Kole Mathison, a freshman at Colorado, placed second in the men's U20 8-kilometer final in 24:18.4 at the USATF Cross Country Championships at Pole Green Park in Mechanicsville, Va. Mathison, a member of the U.S. lineup that captured bronze last year at the World Athletics U20 Cross Country Championships in Bathurst, New South Wales, Australia. Mathison is eligible to represent the U.S. on March 30 at the World Athletics U20 Cross Country Championships in Belgrade, Serbia.
